There is a small mountain creek near Anchorage that offers numerous photographic opportunities. This past Fall I spent several hours wandering the creek photographing it. This being Alaska, it's of course bear country. I had just taken my last frame and was packing my gear when a large black bear ambled up the creek toward me. I considered sticking around to get some photos of it, but the bear seemed intent on checking me out. I wasn't quite comfortable with that, so I packed up and headed back to the car 1/2 mile away, with the bear following me all the way!
